Hello darling! You might be wondering why on Earth I brought you here today. That's a valid question - I am, after all, completely nuts. :)

You see, when I picked out your Christmas present, I knew I was running the risk of it not arriving on time. Remember when I told you it was something I was trying to avoid? Yup, happened anyway. But the good news is that having the item in your hand today is not as important as knowing what it is, so...

As you can see, this adorable kitten doesn't seem too fazed by the whole thing, so why should we?

So now I get to mess with you a little bit while you read this!

I mentioned a while back that it had something to do with Boston in February. Though I considered bringing you to the premiere of the new Die Hard movie, I ultimately decided against it. Sorry for the disappointment.

It is amusing that we ended up going to see The Nutcracker last week, because this particular birthday present does involve a theater of some kind - an off-the-beaten-path one at that.

My clues are puzzling, to say the least. I assure you, I'll eventually get to the point!

It also involves a bunch of guys running around and being idiots, which personally is right up my alley. It's a new experience for both of us, and according to the website (not this one, another one), it might require use of a poncho!

Okay, at this point you're probably thinking one of these two things:

Okay, I shall finally yield the floor and reveal your Christmas present.

Your gift is two tickets to see these crazy guys!

The show is February 20th at 5pm, so it falls on February vacation, but also goes against the grain of Boston traffic. It's only a 10- or 15-minute walk from South Station too!

I'm not sure if you'll want to take the day off of work, but as we look at train schedules and start to plan our voyage (as well as account for possible weather scenarios), we'll figure that out. This show looks like a ton of fun, and there's no one I'd rather share this experience with.

I love you, Stephanie. Merry Christmas!
